Our Captain and crew will navigate you and your group through Crab Island, exploring the grass flats and Choctawhatchee Bay to look out for bald eagles, ospreys and more wildlife along the shoreline. Depending on the marine report daily, we cruise south through Destin’s East Pass along to the Gulf of Mexico.

We accommodate up to 27 passengers and our crew is licensed and CPR certified. Crab Island Runner has a restroom and the entire deck is covered for optimal shade. We primarily look for the bottle-nosed dolphin on this cruise but there’s endless sea creatures you may come across such as sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, and even manatees on occasion. Parking

Xtreme H2O (7 Calhoun Ave): public parking at the Destin Marina beside the launch — limited on high-volume days, so carpool when possible.

Destin Water Fun (214 Harbor Blvd): customer parking on site covers one vehicle per reservation, first come, first served — on busy days we suggest carpooling. Extra vehicles park free at 310 Mountain Drive or for $15 per vehicle at 285 US-98 W. RVs and trailers can’t park on site and use the paid public lot across the street.

Gilligan's Watersports (530 Harbor Blvd): free on-property parking, first come, first served, with overflow at 531 Mountain Drive.

Check-In

Arrive 45 minutes ahead with a photo ID. The Runner is fully captained — waivers wrap up at check-in and the crew handles the rest. Driving a waverunner tour instead? The boater-certificate rule applies to drivers born on or after January 1, 1988 (on-site $3 NASBLA test, or online beforehand).

Bring along: reef-safe sunscreen, a secure hat, something waterproof for your phone, and a small soft-sided cooler with drinks — no glass.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages aboard the dolphin cruise. Many guests pack snacks, sandwiches, and drinks to enjoy during the trip. We recommend bringing a cooler to keep items fresh, and please remember to take all trash with you when disembarking.
