Our Captain and crew will navigate you and your group through Crab Island, exploring the grass flats and Choctawhatchee Bay to look out for bald eagles, ospreys and more wildlife along the shoreline. Depending on the marine report daily, we cruise south through Destin’s East Pass along to the Gulf of Mexico.
Our dolphin cruise is fun, educational and safe for the whole family! Island Runner is a multi-passenger Coast Guard certified and inspected vessel. We accommodate up to 27 passengers and our crew is licensed and CPR certified. Crab Island Runner has a restroom and the entire deck is covered for optimal shade. With plenty of seating and storage, we assure your comfort throughout the excursion.
Most trips are full of sea-life so be sure to bring along your camera! We primarily look for the bottle-nosed dolphin on this cruise but there’s endless sea creatures you may come across such as sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, and even manatees on occasion. It is mother nature so nothing is ever guaranteed, except that our crew will do everything in their control, including working with other captains in the area to get you up close and personal with the sea life Destin has to offer! The dolphin cruise with Destin Water Fun lasts approximately 1.5 hours. During that time, you will enjoy a narrated tour through Destin Harbor and surrounding waters while our captain points out dolphins, local sea life, and points of interest along the beautiful Emerald Coast.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages aboard the dolphin cruise. Many guests pack snacks, sandwiches, and drinks to enjoy during the trip. We recommend bringing a cooler to keep items fresh, and please remember to take all trash with you when disembarking.
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, USCG-approved life jackets are available on board for all passengers in a full range of sizes for adults and children. While the dolphin cruise stays on calm harbor waters, safety equipment is always accessible and our crew conducts a brief safety orientation before departure.
